Learn cross-country ski skills, build fitness, and have fun in the snow!

The CMSC youth program is open to students from pre-K to eighth grade. The program focuses on progressive skill-building though age-appropriate exercises and fun activities. No prior experience is necessary. The season runs from the first full week in January through February vacation.

Levels:  Students are grouped to receive instruction appropriate to their age and experience. Gold, Silver, Bronze based on experience

How will groups be selected? On the first day of practice all skiers will stay on a short loop near the yurt and within view of coaches.  Coaches will record names and check-off skills performed to ensure each child is appropriately placed.  THIS IS NOT A TRYOUT — WE WELCOME EVERYONE!!!  It is just important that for the most enjoyable experience for all, that children be appropriately placed.

Equipment: Skis, boots, and poles are available for seasonal lease. Keep them all season and ski any time. Register early for best availability. We will hold an equipment fitting session in early December.

Transportation: Bus service to Quarry Road Trails is available from some local schools.

Youth program director: Caroline Mathes – (207) 446-7356
All groups are led by experienced, trained coaches.
